BSA Swim Test

Posted on May 19 2015 - 6:24am

The troop will conduct the BSA swim test at 9AM, 30 May at Woodlands Pool. The test will determine a skill level classification (swimmer, beginner or non-swimmer) for adult and scout participants in any of our aquatic activities this summer. Note: The BSA swimmer classification test must be renewed annually, preferably at the beginning of the season even if the Scout has earned the Swimming merit badge.

Canoes, Canoes and more Canoes!

Posted on May 10 2015 - 2:48am

Scouts and Parents,

One of Troop 845's focus areas this summer is canoeing, including a day-trip in July followed by an overnight trip on the James River in August. However, we'll kick-off the summer with several activities closer to home right here in Fredericksburg.

Committee Members Needed!

Posted on May 9 2015 - 8:57am

Troop 845 Parents,

We could really use your help filling several open positions on the troop committee! As you know, the committee is responsible for conducting the business of the troop, establishing troop policies, and generally supporting the SM/ASM team and the scouts with administrative side of the scouting program. The troop can only run efficiently when we have a strong, supportive group of parents working the behind-the-scenes coordination that make the scouting program possible. So if you're not currently serving, please consider volunteering for one of these positions. We're not looking for experts, just a few committed parents! Here are the positions that we need to fill:

Annual Health and Medical Requirement

Parts A and B are required for all Troop activities and Part C is required for summer camp. Part C requires a physician's certification. These requirements apply to all Scout and Adult Leaders. Please submit all completed forms to ASM Rodriguez.
